The Detroit Pistons opened their 2008 -02009 season on October 29 against the Indiana Pacers and with that its the crazy season in Detroit. The Rock City is known as one of the most intense NBA towns in all of sports, and Detroit Pistons tickets are already selling like crazy on sites across the Internet. Its going to be a wild season, and you know that the current Pistons roster is eager to make this season count, as their time together and even as pro-basketball players won't last forever.

Look for Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace to continue their dominating style of play that has made the Pistons the East's big power for the past five seasons. And now Team President Joe Dumars has brought in some young talent to compliment his cast of starters, including Jason Maxiell and Amir Johnson. Look 21-year-old Amir Johnson to become a force in Detroit, as his defense is able to stop just about anyone.

The Pistons look once again to be one of the toughest NBA team to score against. They have been able to suffocate the competition like few teams can, being among the lead leaders in blocked shots, forcing turnovers and limiting shots from the field. That will no doubt continue this season, as the Pistons are returning mostly the same team to start the season.

Sure the Celtics and Cavaliers have recently become the big dogs of the East, but the Pistons have been able to put together winning teams for years. In fact, the Pistons have made the post-season for a remarkable six straight years, marking the team as one of the most consistent in basketball if not all of sports. Its been these teams that have continually sold out the Palace at Auburn Hills and kept the Pistons at or near the top of the attendance records year-in year-out. Yes sir, Detroit can't get enough Pistons tickets. And for the most intense fans, not just any seats will do. Sometimes you just need to splurge a little and get some awesome seats to see your team play ball. You all remember the Pistons taking it all in 2004. Detroit won that post-season in decisive fashion, and were able to bring a title back home. The Pistons definitely have to be one of the favorites to represent the East in the NBA Finals, so be sure to get to the Palace with your own set of Detroit basketball tickets now.
